One of the most profound moments for me in my thinking about the future of education was when I read the book Rainbow’s End. In it, author Vernor Vinge creates a world in 2025 where everyone is connected in an augmented reality world and where much of life happens online. I think this book gets a lot of things right and I highly recommend it if you like a good scifi story.
Anyway, I came across this new interview with the author. It’s good stuff!
There is a section in the middle where he talks about how the future will be different than what we can think of. The way I think about the future is to question everything about what we take for granted today.
