When a big thunder storm is coming there are signs. The air pressure drops, the wind picks up, the sky darkens. If you look you can see the Storm Front approaching. Something like that is happening now with Education. Big changes are approaching. We can all feel it. In this blog I will try to lay out what I think is about to happen.

My name is Andrew Barras (aka Crudbasher). I am a User Experience Designer at Full Sail University. I have been a 3d Modeler, Computer Programmer, Web Designer, and Professor over the last 15 years. I was making Military Simulations before I could legally drink! (that was a disadvantage). Now I am adding Educational Futurist to my skill set.  I have a BS in Digital Arts and Design and my Masters in Education Media Design & Technology, both from Full Sail University.

This is my personal blog.  I do not, in any way, represent my employer.

    • Hi Trace,

Your presentation is really good work! I like that you came up with a way to quantify the system that works with the various incarnations we have seen so far. I’m applying it to my work on how it might evolve and mutate in the future.

      Thanks for commenting!!

    • Hey Matt,

I had to locate a subscription to view the article! I’ll check it out. Thanks for the tip!

  7. Andrew,
Great blog! I like the excitement you build as an educator facing a storm front. I’d love to get your perspective on a project I’m working on, ExitTicket.org. It’s having a disruptive impact on education and I think it’d work well with your other posts. Let me know if I could help, dan@exitticket.org

Thanks again for the great reads!

  8. I feel like we’re kindred spirits in our views on Education. I’m a huge fan and was wondering if you still accept Guest Posts or ideas for them. If you do, what is the best way to contact you?

    • Hey Corrine,

I’m honored you feel like my writings are useful. 🙂 Sure I welcome guest posts. Contact me at my username @ gmail. I’m looking forward to hearing from you!

  9. I saw Hollywood’s industry blow up about sexual harassment and I thought of you and how the school failed to protect me. Still like girls wearing 4″ heels and short skirts? It’s the least they could do, right, for all you’ve done for them?
