My Grandfather was English and passed away in early 2007 at age 97. When I was helping clear out his stuff I came across a box of letters he had written to his mother and sister. He must have gotten them back when they passed away. One of the letters just blew me away. He was telling his family that he had just seen the movie “Modern Times” with Charlie Chaplin. He thought it was good. How amazing is that! Looking back in time and seeing the start of the whole entertainment industry through his eyes. I think one day my children will look at my blog and see how we glimpsed things they take for granted. We live in interesting times!
