…except in schools

(cc) bingbing

When you break open your fortune cookie, you get a small scroll of paper that has a saying on it. It’s supposedly your fortune right? Well when I was in high school someone taught me this little game. You read the fortune, then add the words “in bed” to the end. So if your fortune is “You will be very wealth and successful”, it becomes “You will be very wealth and successful …in bed”. I know, I know it’s childish but it often times has funny results.

I have been playing a variation on this with technology stories. I’ve been adding “…except in schools” to the end of technology story titles.

For example:

Mobile devices overtake computers on Wi-Fi networks …except in schools.

Can AI be your guide to the web? …except in schools.

Apple’s iCloud could see 150 million users  … except in schools.

See? It seems to work.

This would be really funny if it wasn’t so sad.
