I would absolutely love to attend Singularity University! Singularity University is a project started by Ray Kurzweil and Peter Diamandis. Ray Kurzweil is a noted futurist that I have mentioned as one of my three biggest influences and Peter Diamandis is a businessman who has created a number of events to push forward the boundaries of technology. For example he created the X-Prize, which was won a few years ago by Scaled Composites.

I found this recent video where they talk about some of the topics at Singularity University. The university has a 10 week program for $25,000 but it’s pretty exclusive so here is my question: Why the heck can’t we have a lot more of these kind of brainstorming sessions? Perhaps we will. The TED conference is also kind of exclusive and yet there are now TEDx conferences around the world.
