An Educational Simulation App Of A Laboratory

One trend I have been watching for the last few years is how the ever increasing power of computers is allowing simulation of complex events and processes for lower and lower cost. This new power will help reshape the way students learn about science.

When I was in high school I remember doing simple experiments in my physics class. You know, measure something, mix two things together. It was all very scripted and in my mind didn’t involve any sort of exploration. I would have learned the same thing by reading it. Simulations however allow students to setup much more complicated processes and then see them play out in a variety of ways. I’ve been waiting for the day a company steps up and put this into an app. Well, turns out that day is today.
